Adult
Softball
Every
summer and fall, we hold softball leagues for Men's, Coed,
and Women's teams. Most of our games are played in VFW Park.
Summer Leagues run from April to August and fall leagues run
from September to October. Tournaments follow each of the
leagues. Leagues are available on Sunday-Friday for both recreational
and competitive teams. Sign-ups for summer league start in
February and signups for fall league start in July.
Youth
Basketball
Every winter, the Park District, along with East Peoria
Youth Basketball, offer both inhouse and travel basketball
leagues. In house leagues are available for boys and girls
from Kindergarten to 8th grade. Signups are typically in
September and October with leagues beginning in November.
Practices and games are held on Saturdays in area grade
schools.
Youth
Soccer
In springtime, we offer indoor soccer. This program is for
boys and girls 4 years old through 8th grade. Signups are
held in February. This program uses Morton Park District
Recreational Center for games for 2-8th grade, and a local
grade school for k-1 grades. Games are typically held on
Saturdays.
In the fall, we offer outdoor soccer. This program is for
boys and girls 5 years old through 8th grade. Signups are
held in August. This program uses Eastside Centre for all
the games. Practices are typically held at Armstrong School.
Games are typically held on Saturdays.
In both the spring and the fall, the community has travel
teams that participate in the Inter-Community
Soccer League. This league is seperate from the Park

Tennis
In spring and summer we offer many different tennis lessons
and leagues. We utilize the tennis courts in VFW Park for
all of our tennis programs. Programs we offer are for children
from 3rd grade up through all adult ages. Some signups are
required for these programs.
Tumbling
We
offer our tumbling with Jon Williams at Homewood Heights School
in Creve Coeur. There are monthly sessions year round. Camps
are also available on school holidays, etc. Please view our
current brochure pages for specific schedule.
Karate
The Park District offers karate with Master Sung Kim on
Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Administration Building. There
are monthly sessions for this program.
Swim
Team
The Park District offers the SPLASHDOWN SONIC WAVES swim
team. Practices for the team are offered in the mornings
and meets are typically held on weekends. Signups for this
program are held in April. There is some travel involved
in going to the away meets. Weekly stroke clinics are held
to assist in the development of the swimmer.
VFW Park Recreational
Courts
Located in the lower portion of VFW Park (400 block Springfield
Rd), these outdoor courts are open at sunrise with the lights
shutting off at 10:00pm. Activities that can be done include:
tennis, basketball, Sketeboard, rollerblade hockey, soccer,
etc. No reservations are required for these courts.
Youth
Baseball
In East Peoria, all youth baseball programs are coordinated
by an independent organization seperate from the Park District
called East Peoria Youth Baseball. This group operates completely
indepent from the Park District. All youth baseball questions
should be directed to members of this organization. Contact

indepent from the Park District. All youth softball questions

Centre
Eastside Centre hosts many different tournaments and invitationals
