We have delayed the start of our youth basketball season due to the current state restrictions but also the lack of gym space. The School District is not allowing outside agencies to use their school gyms. The main reasons are that the gyms are currently being used to help separate students for lunches and other activities (desks, tables, and chairs are on the gym floors). In addition, more sanitization would incur if allowed to use the schools weekday evenings and Saturdays. EastSide Centre also has limited days available for both practice and games during the weekdays and weekends. Park District’s that are going forward with youth basketball have their own gyms and don’t rely on schools and other facilities to rent.

A decision will be made by first of December if the program will move forward or canceled.   This decision will be based on gym availability.
